FALLSBURG — For the eighth time in the program’s history, the Fallsburg Junior-Senior High School’s robotics team will be making an appearance in the VEX Robotics World Championship.

The tournament will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, Texas from April 25 to May 3.

“I’m exceptionally proud of the accomplishments of our Robotics program over the past few years,” Dr. Ivan Katz, Superintendent of Schools said. “They have made our school community proud. I wish our qualifying team the best of everything at the World Championships in Texas. The Fallsburg Central School District is proud of you!”

They clinched their spot after finishing seventh in the skills component match-up during the New York State Robotics Championship.

Fallsburg will be one of hundreds of teams from around the world competing for various tournament crowns. The team members that will appear in the tournament are Robert Perrera, Ayden Carpenito, and Saleen Lyons. All three played an instrumental role in bringing Fallsburg to another championship appearance.
