Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop's 2018 Holiday Show, Dec. 7 - 9

HURLEYVILLE - The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop's Holiday Show is a double ticket featuring a 1940s Radio Play version of O. Henry's The Gift of the Magi (adapted by Jon Jory) and a Children's show, Hansel and Gretel and the Falling Christmas Elves. Performance dates are December 7, 8, 9 at the Sullivan County Museum, Art and Cultural Center in Hurleyville.
The Gift of the Magi is a heartwarming romantic comedy, narrated by a group of Christmas carolers, tells the story of Della and Jim, who are desperately in love with each other but also very poor. In their attempts to buy each other proper Christmas gifts, a strange twist of fate leads the couple to find the perfect gifts for one another -- but at an unexpected cost. Though they may not have the perfect Christmas, the couple learns about the importance of the gift of love in this beautiful adaptation of the story by O.
Henry. Under the able direction of Kitty Hendrix, the show features the talents of Alan Charney, Andrea Eddings, Peter Nastasi, Kristopher Rosengrant, Amber Schmidt, Jim Schmidt, Heather Strauss, and Harold Tighe. Joe Guidone is the Stage Manager and Harold Tighe the Producer.
Hansel and Gretel and the Falling Christmas Elves tells the tale of the brother and sister getting lost in the woods that you remember - but with holiday festivity and a twist! Can Santa's elves save this sibling duo? Directed and produced by Harold Tighe, the youthful cast features Gabriela Almonte, Nicholas Ciorciari, Aiden Dusenbury-Dalto, Jack Dusenbury-Dalto, Treyvon Hayden, Ethan King, Blaze Nolan, Jayden Ramsay, Joslyn Odell Schreier, Kai Odell Schreier, and Isabella Velasquez. Allison Weiner is Stage Manager.
Performances are Friday and Saturday nights, December 7 and 8 at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sullivan County Museum, 265 Main Street, Hurleyville. All tickets are $10 and include desserts and coffee.
