The Trout Parade Returns to Livingston Manor, New York in its 15th Year

Visitors are encouraged to dress up, bring fun props, and express themselves whether marching in the parade or simply enjoying it from the sidelines. Photo by Ted Pilonero.
LIVINGSTON MANOR - The Catskill Art Society is proud to present The 15th Annual Trout Parade on Saturday, June 9, 2018, rain or shine. Local art, crafts, children's activities, specialty foods from area vendors, and beer from nearby breweries are highlights every year - and this is going to be our biggest festival yet!
This year's theme is WILD TROUT - referencing and bringing awareness to the wild ecology of the surrounding area and the local wildlife that makes this place so special. The fun begins at the Festival Headquarters inside the CAS Arts Center from 11:00am where you can show off your costume and have your instant portrait taken by Jill Smith Photography. Be sure to grab a collectible screen-printed T-shirt or limited edition hat as your souvenir for the day. Then at noon the live music begins outside on the Main Street Stage to get everyone ready for the parade to step off at 1:00pm!
The Grand Marshal, Van Morrow and Bruce Shenton will be followed by a wide variety of classic cars, music, floats celebrating local businesses, community organizations, and performers including the Catskill Puppet Theater, NACL Theatre Company, Paprika and Bud Wertheim's famous Giant Brook Trout Puppet. Sullivan County citizens and benefactors such as Jeff Bank, the Catskill Fly Fishing Center, and the Livingston Manor Rotary Club are expected to march down Main Street and showcase their wild floats.

After the parade passes by, stay on Main Street for more live music and fabulous shopping, dining, and fun all over town. This year's After-Party will be at the Catskill Brewery just up the road - then you can head back to Main Street for the After-After-Party at Kaatskeller.
The Trout Parade is always a free event for everyone. Donations from individuals and businesses, along with the sale of souvenirs, all make the parade possible each year. Proceeds will benefit the Livingston Manor Central School Art and Music programs. For more information on how you can participate or donate, visit, call 845-436-4227, or email #TroutParade
