Catskill International Film Festival co-founders, Charles Marinaro and Anthony Gagliardo, stand in front of the Western Hotel, which hosted the film festival's opening night ceremony and red carpet.
Callicoon was busy this weekend as film directors, actors and audience members mingled around town. They were all there for the Catskill International Film Festival, the first ever, held at the Callicoon Theater.
Festival co-organizers Charles Marinaro and Anthony Gagliardo worked with a team of committee members to bring this festival to fruition. The weekend kicked off with an opening night ceremony hosted at the Western Hotel. From there, festival-goers made their way down the street to watch the opening night film, “A Line Between All Things,” which was directed by Marinaro.
The festival continued with screenings throughout the weekend.
The independent films showcased a variety of genres, including shorts, documentaries, features, animation, music videos and more. There were also workshops and networking opportunities with the filmmakers, theater performances and live music.
