Blues, Brews and BBQ takes over Hancock

The ladies from the Hancock United Methodist Church each made delicious, homemade pies to sell Saturday afternoon. Our pick? The chocolate dream pie!
Hancock Town Square was the place to be over the sunny Memorial Day weekend with Destination Hancock's Blues, Brews, and BBQ event as a fun kickoff to summer and warmer weather.
The Saturday and Sunday event, organized by local Nancy Furdock and others, featured live music from the likes of Friar's Point Band, The Parlor Cats, The Dave Keyes Band, Shane Scarazzini & EightFingers and The Slam Allen Band, along with craft vendors, a farm market, and games like Giant Jenga.
If that alone didn't get you to stop by for a stroll around the town square, surely the sweet smell of barbecue and the Catskill Brewery truck parked on the side would. And don't forget the amazing homemade pies and cheesecakes by the ladies of the Hancock United Methodist Church.
