Pumpkinfest 2018 on October 6

SULLIVAN COUNTY - There's a lot of buzz looking backward at the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock. But there's a group of Sullivan County natives looking forward to the next big musical happening: Pumpkinfest 2018 in Barryville on October 6. There's a full day of music planned, along with free family fun like contests, costumes, and pumpkin decorating.
At 11 a.m. is a live world premiere musical event, SULLIVAN SINGS!.
Three singer/songwriters will be debuting the live versions of their latest original music. Laurie Stuart will perform “Where We Are”; Marc Satz will perform “The Family Way”, and Brad Georgi of Spunday Mourning will perform “I Thought We'd Know”.
“We're so happy to be collaborating with the Greater Barryville Chamber of Commerce, to provide a showcase for Sullivan County talent,” beams Nick Roes, who wrote the grant for the Barryville Area Arts Association. “Pumpkinfest is known for its great music, and the chance to hear original music for the first time makes it something even more special.”
The three songs are the first three releases of a new music label and the SULLIVAN SINGS! Project, funded in part a Sullivan County Arts & Heritage Grant, funded by the Sullivan County Legislature and administered by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance. Local artists also were recruited to design the album covers.
The grant also provided for the creation of a YouTube Channel, “Sullivan Sings!”, to showcase Sullivan County talent. For a sneak preview of the new music, search for, visit, and subscribe free to that Channel on YouTube.
