SOUTH FALLSBURG — A fatal car accident involving two drivers occurred Friday, February 21.

Catherine Earing, 67, of Woodbourne was killed in the crash.

Fallsburg Detective Brendan Pavese said the accident occurred around 6:20 a.m. Friday morning on Route 42. The other driver, Demetrious Bishop, 40, of Grahamsville crossed the centerline hitting Earing.

Pavese said it is believed Bishop was coming home from work in Orange County and fell asleep at the wheel. He was transported to Catskill Regional Medical Center and later released. The investigation is still ongoing.

Earing was employed by Rolling V Bus Corp and was a bus driver for the Fallsburg School District.
