SULLIVAN COUNTY — On Friday January 4th, 2018 the Village of Liberty Police Department arrested Michael Onofrietti, 48 of Liberty after an incident on North Main Street. Liberty Police Officers responded to a call for a disturbance at an apartment building on North Main Street at approximately 7:00 p.m. After a brief investigation, responding officers discovered that Onofrietti had threatened a neighbor, broke a boom handle in two and swung it at the neighbor. Onofrieetti was taken into custody without further incident. Onofrietti was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a felony and menacing in the 2nd degree a misdemeanor. Onofrietti was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $15,000.
