Rolling V Purchases New School Buses Featuring the Latest, Most Advanced Safety Technology

SOUTH FALLSBURG - Rolling V Bus Corp., a full-service school bus, charter bus and car service in New York dedicated to providing safe and reliable transportation for students throughout New York, announced the purchase of brand new school buses for its fleet from Leonard Bus Sales, a company with which it has long partnered for its vehicle needs.

The new buses are 2019 IC models equipped with an advanced crash mitigation system. These are currently the only vehicles in the United States being produced with this technology. The technology was recently featured in a segment on NBC's Today Show, demonstrating the Bendix Electronic Stability Control and Collision Mitigation System that is in these brand new school buses.

“Electronic Stability Control and Collision Mitigation are two new technologies that are bringing what is already the safest mode of transportation to the next level,” said Trish Reed, Vice President and General Manager of IC Bus. “I'm very proud to see that IC Bus customers such as Rolling V Bus are taking a position of leadership within the industry by committing to these technologies and doing everything they can to achieve our shared goal of keeping our children safe.”

With a rise in nationally reported accidents and incidents involving school buses, local districts will be pleased to know these new safety technologies will be put to use in their areas.

“We are excited to be working with an industry leader in safety, Leonard Bus Sales, to add these advanced safety technology vehicles to our fleet,” said Phil Vallone, President of Rolling V Bus Corporation. “This is just one further example of our continued investment in the very best, most technologically advanced equipment available, and of our commitment to the safety of the students, communities and school districts we serve.”

The buses have been delivered and assigned to local routes in the school districts served by Rolling V.
