REGION - The storm that hit on Tuesday delayed the school budget and election vote for the Eldred Central School District, however other area schools' votes continued as planned. Voters turned out to weigh in on school budgets, and at some schools, other propositions. In the end, all budgets were approved.

The Eldred Central School vote will be re-scheduled for a later time. A special board of education meeting was held at Mackenzie Elementary School last night to discuss the recent budget and election vote cancellation and subsequent actions that will need to be taken.

Liberty

Budget: 224 yes, 99 no

Board members: Joyce Teed (248 votes), Peter Racette (231 votes) and Karen Hook (211 votes).

Monticello

Budget: 353 yes, 320 no

Board members: Cathleen Doherty (393 votes), Todd Grodin (410 votes) and

Tim Crumley (402 votes).
