YOUNGSVILLE — On Wednesday at 1:45 p.m., a short yellow school bus crashed into a 1985 Chevy SUV on Route 52 east of Youngsville near Midway Road.

According to the New York State Police Public Information Officer Steven Nevel, the bus was carrying no passengers at the time and the driver stayed on the scene helping to direct traffic until the New York State Police arrived.

The bus driver complained of shoulder injury and was taken to the hospital for evaluation, according to Nevel.

The Chevy SUV had a passenger and both the driver and passenger were wearing seat belts. After the accident, the Chevy driver complained of back pain and was also taken to the hospital for evaluation.
