FALLSBURG — The Fallsburg Jr/Sr High School chapter of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) organized a mock car crash last Thursday morning at the side parking lot of the high school, to showcase the consequences of drinking and driving.

The group felt it was an important time to host the event during the season of proms and graduations.

A press release issued by SADD said that “teens and adults alike must recognize that poor decisions can lead to disastrous results.”

SADD organized the event with the help of School Resource Officer Jason Edwards, the Town of Fallsburg Fire Chiefs, the Sullivan County 911 center and the high school, to help bring awareness to National Youth Traffic Safety Month.
