Cochecton holds 2018 reorganizational meeting

COCHECTON - The Cochecton Town Board met earlier this month for the town's annual reorganizational meeting.

After the pledge of allegiance, Supervisor Gary Maas started the meeting explaining the night's mission.

“Tonight is the night the town takes care of its business for the beginning of the year,” Maas said before Town Clerk Holly Schulman read a legal notice regarding town board meeting dates and times.

The Town of Cochecton will hold its regular meetings at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. They will hold work sessions from 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. upon which regular business will commence. Any special meetings will be announced in advance of the date.

The town named Jeff Bank and Catskill Hudson Bank official depositories and named the Sullivan County Democrat its official newspaper.

The Town Board approved all 12 Resolutions on the agenda that covered a variety of items including appointments, salaries, placement of legal notices, insurance payments, dues and other yearly business.

Councilperson Anna Story motioned to approve all resolutions which was seconded by Councilperson Paul Salzberg before the board went into executive session.
