WURTSBORO — This past Saturday from noon through 6 p.m., Sullivan Street was closed and lined with a blend of vendors with various goods including produce, hand-crafted items and food.

Informational booths from organizations included the Bashakill Area Association and Mamakating First Aid Squad, and causes near and dear to the hearts of most attendees such as the American Legion, VFW, Emma Chase PTO, the Wheelbarrow Full of Wurtsboro which benefited the Wurtsboro Board of Trade Scholarship Fund and more.

Hungry attendees had a wide range of options from fresh lemonade, fresh produce for sale and a number of tasty offerings from food trucks and stands.

Musical entertainment was provided in Veterans Park by a number of bands, live wood carving demonstrations by Stump Devils were conducted, inflatable rides and activities were available for children, and local businesses welcomed new visitors to the Wurtsboro Board of Trade's annual Founders Day Street Fair.

The festival has become an annual tradition for many local residents as well as visitors, and the family friendly summer event in Wurtsboro is a highlight for many.
