ELDRED - The Town of Highland will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m., (before the regular board meeting), at the Highland Town Hall. The town has received an application to enter into a franchise agreement with Frontier Communications.

Citizens Telecommunications Company of New York, Inc., doing business as Frontier Communications of New York, has filed an application for a cable franchise to offer cable/video service in the Town of Highland.

There will be a second public hearing on the same night at 6:45 p.m. regarding granting a cable television franchise agreement between the Town of Highland and Time Warner Cable Northeast, also known as Charter Communications.

Both proposals are available to the public during normal business hours at the Town Clerk's office, 4 Proctor Rd. in Eldred. At the public hearing, all persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. Written and oral statements will be taken at that time.
