MONTICELLO — Monticello firefighters were dispatched to a fire at Nelshore Drive home early yesterday morning.

When firefighters arrived at 1:47 a.m., they found a working structure fire, which included a fully involved vehicle in a garage. The fire extended from the garage into the structure.

The residence sustained heavy damage, while the garage and vehicle were destroyed.

Monticello Fire Department, Monticello Police Department and the Sullivan County Fire Investigation Team are investigating the fire.

Monticello Fire Department was assisted on scene by Rock Hill, Fallsburg and Forestburgh Fire Departments along with Mobilemedic EMS.

The lone occupant of the residence was treated for minor burns by Mobilemedic EMS at the scene.

All units were back in service by 6:40 a.m.
