In honor of its commitment to the local community, Catskill Regional Medical Center has created an Emergency Care Institute. The Institute is made up of free courses to assist local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Paramedics in Sullivan County to meet their requirements for New York State certification.

The Institute will begin January 14, with its first class “Preparatory Airway”. The second class “Patient Assessment ” will take place on February 21. A third class, “Pharmacology/Medical Administration/Emergency Meds/Immunology/Toxicology/Endocrine and Neurology” will take place on March 21.

All classes will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month and will take place in Catskill Regional's Board Room, 2nd floor, Ambulatory Surgery Building, 68 Harris-Bushville Road, Harris, NY 12742.

Instructors are Tom Andryshak, Jr. EMT-P, CIC; Charles Lee Miller, RN, CCRN, EMT-P and Guests TBA.
