Monticello senior Taina DeJesus gracefully clears a hurdle in the 400 intermediate hurdles championship to garner her second medal of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) track and field championships. She finished fourth in the Division I race and sixth in the Federation Championship race setting personal best times in both races of 1:03.67 in the D-1 race and 1:03.62 in the Federation race.

Monticello sophomore Eduardo Salinas came up big in the Division-clinching victory over Goshen taking first in the 1600 and the 800. Coach Matt Buddenhagen credits his gritty performances among others who stepped up big in capturing yet another Division title. It was the Panther boys 11th one in the past 13 years.
