To the editor:
On behalf of the Callicoon Center Band I would like to pass along a well-deserved ‘thank you’ to several people and organizations who helped to make our return to the bandstand such a success this summer!
To our loyal audience, many of whom told us how glad they were to have us back ‘home’ at the bandstand. To the Callicoon Center Fire Department and the special attention given to us by George Schmidt! To the Ladies Auxiliary and their wonderful addition to our Wednesday evenings (pie raffle and refreshments- perfect!). To the Sullivan County Sheriff Department for providing an officer each week for traffic/pedestrian safety! To the Sullivan West School District for providing a place for the band to rehearse.
We are also grateful for the Grant assistance provided by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.
A special thank you to the owners of Hills Resort for giving us a place to perform and helping us get through the ‘dark period’ of post-Covid!
2024 will be the 90th year of concerts by the Callicoon Center Band. Be sure to set your Wednesday evenings aside for more enjoyable evenings of music with us!
