EQUINUNK, PA – The Wayne County Community Foundation, in partnership with the Equinunk Historical Society and the Wayne County Arts Alliance is excited to announce a special art opening to celebrate the first installment of Wayne County’s new Creative Communities Art Trail!
The opening will be held at the Equinunk Historical Society, located at 1972 Pine Mill Rd, Equinunk, from 1:00 - 3:00pm on Saturday, September 14th. Light refreshments, a Lenape land blessing ceremony, and a display of beautiful local art will be the highlights of the afternoon. This event is free and open to the public, all are welcome to attend.
The Creative Communities Art Trail is a project supported by several Wayne County nonprofits with some funding support from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
The trail seeks to connect Wayne County communities from north to south along PA Route 191 with place-based, locally-designed pieces of outdoor public artwork. This event in Equinunk marks the first of several locations that will be opening over the course of the next few years in Wayne County.
Public art is a great way to uplift and celebrate all of the communities that make Wayne County such a vibrant and beautiful place to be. We hope to see you there!
This project was supported in part by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
