My neighbor in Callicoon Center does a lot of favors for me so I decided to send her a box of chocolates.

I had my son, Michael, mail it for me since he has insulated wrap at his office in Nyack. That way the chocolates would arrive in tip top shape.

Unfortunately Mike was one digit off when filling out the address. As a result that box of candy went to many spots in New Jersey and Sullivan County.

It left Nyack on July 13 and went to Jersey City and from there to the distribution center in Newark. Then it was sent to Newburgh and from there to Liberty and on to Ferndale ( where it may have started to go astray).

Next it arrived in Swan Lake on July 14 and according to the tracking information there was an attempt to find the delivery location but there was no access. I guess they must have looked all over that town for a Sherry Strassman and couldn't find one, even on the lake.

On July 15 it was sent back to Liberty on its route back to sender. On July 16 it arrived back in Newark and it was still there on July 18 where postal workers must have spent two days scratching their heads.

By July 19 they figured it out and the package arrived in Callicoon on July 20 at 7:30 AM and it was available for personal pick up on July 21 at the Callicoon Center post office. Sherry said the chocolate was fine so all's well that ends well.
