Adair Albee Hendrickson, 80, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in Middletown, CT.
Born in 1944 to Harvey and Doris Albee, Adair grew up in Roscoe, NY, before her family relocated to Sarasota, FL. She graduated from Sarasota High School in 1962 and earned her degree from Connecticut College in 1966. She spent the majority of her adult life in Norwich, CT.
Adair dedicated her life to serving others through a variety of roles, including teacher, social worker for the State of Connecticut, and Resident Services Coordinator for the elderly. She was also a lifelong volunteer, most notably running the library at the Norwich Senior Center and honoring World War II veterans through American Warrior.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Diekon; her son, Craig Hendrickson; her grandchildren, Van and Nova Diekon, and Jack and Justus Hendrickson; and her sisters, Lynne Albee and Andrea Albee.
Adair will be remembered for her independence, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to family and community.
At her request, no public services will be held. A private burial will take place later this year in Roscoe, NY.
