Alice (lovingly known as Ginger) nee Pere, Price, age 84, of Swan Lake passed on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

Ginger was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Deppa and survived by her devoted husband of almost 65 years - Robert Earl Price; three remaining children - Robert “Skip” (Barbara) Price, Dale (Eva) Price and Cynthia (Bill) Michel, and son-in-law Ronald Deppa; grandchildren - Jamie (Eric) Fuller, Matthew Price, and Kellie Price, Caroline Beckett and Michele (Justin) Brink, Rebecca “Becky” and Rachel (fiancé Jason Schultz) Deppa, Jeanna and Jeffrey Michel; great grandchildren - Lorelai and Lirael Beckett and Eliza and Cady Brink; and many extended family members and relatives too numerous to fit into this shortened space, but beloved all as well.

Ginger was born in Monticello, NY on February 28, 1936 to Joseph and Edith Pere and spent the majority of her young life at home near Forestburgh. As a child, she helped feed the chickens on her parent's small farm. Upon her marriage, she and her husband lived in a barn on the property while building a home on the same premises for themselves and soon to be growing family. In later years after the children were grown, moving on and making lives for themselves, Bob and Ginger moved to the Swan Lake area to be closer to several of their increasing extended family. During this time, Ginger held various types and positions of employment, but none so well loved as the time spent with family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and took great pride and delight in her role as grandmother and great-grandmother.

A long-time, active member of Rock Hill Church of the Nazarene, Ginger will be remembered fondly for her devout faith and hard work. Many people will miss her presence at social gatherings, playing cards and games with family and friends, hours lovingly creating photo albums of family members, sharing and recording family history and genealogy and her love of nature and the outdoors. She will be greatly missed but well remembered.

A memorial service will currently be suspended and held at a later date when family and friends will be better able to convene and celebrate Ginger's life. For those who would like to do something at this time, we suggest a donation to the Rock Hill Church of the Nazarene or a charity of your own choosing in her honor.
