The 41st Annual Sullivan County Democrat Two-Man Better Ball Golf Tourney ended in dramatic fashion on the 17th hole as Sean Semenetz and Joe Winski won their third straight title, 2-1, over Michael Decker and Michael Scuderi.

Tournament Sponsor and Sullivan County Democrat Publisher Fred Stabbert III, left, and Villa Roma Director of Golf Matthew Kleiner, right, congratulated the two top teams at the awards dinner on Sunday night, August 14. The three-day tourney attracted 68 teams – 136 players –  to the Villa Roma Country Club in Callicoon.

Accepting their Championship awards, which were framed flags from the tournament, were Joe Winski, second from left, and Sean Semenetz, third from left. Also congratulating the champions were second place finishers Michael Scuderi, fourth from left, and Michael Decker. Semenetz and Winski have won the Democrat eight times as a team.
