Anna Marie (Miller) Stenson, left this world on December 1, 2024, at the age of 105. She was born in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, NY on January 18, 1919. Anna liked to be called Marie and was predeceased by her parents Louis and Anna (Schoeller) Miller, her brother Harry Miller, her husband Albert F. Stenson, Sr., her sister Clara E. Thomas and her nephew Robert L. Thomas. She is survived by her two daughters Caroline Kurtz and Alice (Michael) Littler, her son Albert F. Stenson, Jr., her two granddaughters Kristin A. Stenson and Caryn A. Littler, her grandson Mark A. Stenson and her niece Claire (Donald) Burford.

Marie lived all of her childhood to middle age in Broad Channel, Queens, NY. As a child, she enjoyed belonging to the Campfire Girls (similar to the Girl Scouts), mastered the art of sewing, jigsaw puzzles and playing the piano. Before her marriage to Albert, she worked at the Equitable Life Insurance Company as a file clerk from 1936-1942 and changing jobs working for Sperry in 1942-1945, testing gun sites for the B17 bomber planes.

Marie and Albert were married on January 20, 1946. Raising three children and finding time to volunteer as a Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, Ladies Auxiliary, president of St. Barnabus and at Trinity Church in Florida as a secretary, a Bible study teacher, PTA Leader and various church activities.

In 1989, she moved to Florida to enjoy retirement and the sun. After breaking her leg, she moved back to New York to be close to family in 2012. The family wishes a sincere thank you to all the doctors, nurses and nursing assistants, who cared for her at the Care Center in Liberty, New York.

Marie is now in the loving care of Jesus and the angels. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
