LIBERTY — The 2022 Sullivan County Soap Box Derby was held on North Main Street in Liberty on Saturday afternoon. Dozens of racers competed in different categories to see who would be the champion of the day.

The Soap Box Derby Committee thanked all of the families, sponsors and volunteers for making this year’s event possible.

“Over a year of hard work and many volunteer hours have gone into making the event a success,” the Committee said. “Boys and girls representing schools and businesses from all over Sullivan County [raced]. Businesses have sponsored materials, labor, soap box cars and time to make this event a success.”

1st place- Shane Graham

2nd place- Rose Olsen

3rd place- Steven Padin

Super stock division:

1st place- James Fancher

2nd place- Cora Freidenstine

3rd place- Hudson Danzilo

Masters Division:

1st place- Brooke Nichols

2nd place- Mason Smith

3rd place- Gregson McKenna
