Anthony V. Gargiulo of Kenoza Lake, New York, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020, at West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton, Florida, following a cardiac arrest at the age of 88. He was the son of the late Vincent and Lillian Gargiulo of Brooklyn, New York. Anthony was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and was a graduate of the Army Language School in Monterey, CA, before serving in Korea on the DMZ, interrogating POWs. He graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Anthony retired from the New York City Police Department in 1982 after 28 years of distinguished service. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Evelyn of 52 years.

He is survived by the second love of his life, his wife, Alice of Coconut Creek, FL, three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Ivana of Leesburg, VA, Rick and Amy of El Dorado Hills, CA, Michael and Maryanne of Edison, NJ, stepdaughter Allison Francesco and husband Joe of Beach Lake, PA, and stepson Jack Kahn and wife Erin of Gilbert, AZ, 7 grandchildren and 5 stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon, NY on September 30 at 12pm immediately followed by burial services at Callicoon Cemetery, Seminary Road, Callicoon, NY.
