Barbara Ann (Cassidy) Vanradenburg of Florence, SC, formerly of White Lake, NY, died peacefully on September 10, 2024. She was 88 years old. The daughter of Charles and Ann Stauble, she was born on October 4, 1935 in Yonkers, NY. Survivors include her children: Deborah VanWolde, partner Matthew Reed of Florence South Carolina, Annmarie Picard  and husband James of Daytona Beach, Florida, Stephen Cassidy and wife Ann of Interlachen, Florida, and Catherine Rode and husband Terry of Beverly Hills, Florida. Stepdaughters Nancy Matrafailo and husband Pete of Youngsville, NY, Donna Tyler and husband Ed of Bethel NY, Janice Zeller and husband Robert of Port Jervis, NY, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Ronald Cassidy, husband Roy VanFradenburg, infant son Ronald Cassidy, sisters Marilyn (Cookie)Duane, and Patricia Brennan, and sister-in-law Maryetta VanFradenburg. Her heart was shattered with the loss of her beloved dog, and best friend Doobie, & her companion for 3 years, Lobo. In 1954 she married Ronald Cassidy and started their family. They moved to Smallwood, NY in 1965. After his passing in 1972, she raised her 4 children alone, working as an aid at the Cornelius Duggan Elementary School, Danny’s Fair Acres Restaurant and El Monacos Motel and Restaurant. She belonged to the school PTA, St. Josephs church. She was an active member of her community. She took many trips with her children to game farms, Bronx Zoo, and the local firemens beach. She worked endlessly to give her children all she could, and they will cherish the memories of all the Christmases with a living room full of presents. In 1988 she married Roy VanFradenburg and were the owners of Roys Sport Shop in Mongaup Valley. In 2004 they retired to their home in Summerfield, Florida. She spent her days in her numerous flower gardens. She was an amazing and strong woman and mother. She will be remembered as a loving mother who loved unconditionally. She always put her children and family first. She would go without to make sure that they had. She taught them to be caring, kind, honest, respectful, and to always do their best. She loved her life, and spending time with her family. She was the queen at playing parchessi beating all whom she played. She loved playing cards, going to Bingo and Penny Socials, and keeping a meticulous home.   Since 2004, she overcame many obstacles, medically and numerous losses of loved ones. Her caring heart, and love of life will leave a void for all who knew her, but especially to her children. The enormous heartbreak, and loss will last for ver. There will be no service, her children will have a private memorial. Cremation arrangements by the neptune society.
