Kudos to the 43rd Annual WSUL HeartAThon, which raised $93K for a state of the art EKG machine at the Cardio-Pulmonary Unit at Garnet Health Medical Center. Every personal donation, organizer and volunteer effort is appreciated year after year.

Congratulations to Hayden Carnell for his win of SC Conservation Club's “King of the Ice” on White Lake with a 8.2-pound walleye, caught within 15 minutes of the tournament start. Along with first-timer, 7 year old Delana Weyandt, hundreds participated this year on the 21st.

We are indebted to the Bethel Highway Department this season. The question of “What's a roof rake?” has now been answered for the newest residents of Bethel. If any child missed the opportunity for sledding, making snowmen or snow angels, well, it's your loss!
