Congrats to Brendon Cunningham, Kristopher John Gwiozdowski and Anthony Freeman, honored as SCVFA Firefighters of the Year! Other Awards were also doled out at the 93rd SCVFA Parade Event: Kauneonga Lake Fire- 1st in Best appearing Pumper (20yr or older) and 1st Place, Best Appearing Small Dress Company. White Lake Fire captured Best Appearing Large Regulation Co. and Best Appearing Color Guard. PS: WLFire Co’s new rescue boat has already been used in service training.

Engage in Bethel Woods free ‘Project: Identity Photography’ course, for Teens 14-18yo on Tuesday and Sundays at the Conservatory at 6pm. Celebrate Simchat Torah on the 29th.

Opening night of the Big Eddy Film Fest on Thursday, the 30th, serves up the NY premiere of “The First Step” at Bethel Woods (outdoors, weather permitting) at 8pm. Re: Van Jones’ attempt to pass a landmark criminal justice bill while under fire from all sides. Lance Kramer, producer, will attend. Tkt req.

River Ramblers play the ‘Uktoberfest’(in Eldred 12-5pm) at the Shrewd Fox Brewery on October 2nd at 2pm and at the Cochecton Pump Hose on Sunday, the 3rd, at 2pm. ‘Slam’ will bring down the house at the Forestburgh Tavern on Saturday night! The Hawley Harvest Hoedown-Bluegrass and Folk Concert happens at the Ritz on the 2nd at 8pm.  

Narrowsburg Union and Barryville Farm Markets continue Saturdays, 10-1pm. Callicoon’s Market happens every Sunday, 11-2pm.                                                                                                                           The Bethel Woods Art of Wellness program presents ‘Yoga with LeeAnna Maniace’ on the Field on the 3rd at 10am.

Attend the last Bethel Woods Harvest Fest this Sunday from 11am-4pm. Free / $5 parking fee. Enjoy live music (‘Shades’ perform), food truck court, corn maze, activities, and over eighty craft and regional vendors – including local farmers, artisans, homemade foods, spirits and specialty items.

‘Nourish Your Neighbor’ accepts food donations at the entrance for Shepherd’s Pantry. Add the Bethel Woods “More than a Meal” event, scheduled for 5pm before ’The Outlaws’ take the Events Gallery Stage on Sunday, the 3rd at 8pm.    

There will be a public hearing at the Planning Board meeting on the 4th at 7pm to discuss “@woods”, the ‘Catskills Tech Hub, LLC’ project proposed on Bethel’s Segar and Rosenberg Road.

Attend the Narrowsburg Union ‘Group Exhibit’ until Saturday. DVAA hosts Gourjon-Bieltvedt’s ‘Captivity’ and Macyn Bolt’s “Slow Drift” exhibits and the CAS-Laundry King offers Kalina’s “Over Time” exhibit until the end of October.                                      

While able, get tickets: NYC offers the MET-Metropolitan Opera, the NY Philharmonic at Lincoln Center and the “Fall for Dance Festival” at NYCity Center (10/13-24). Among others, ‘Hamilton’, ‘Lion King’ and ‘Wicked’ are running, too.
