Busy week for Livingston Manor and Roscoe

ROCKLAND — The two schools that represent the Town of Rockland, Livingston Manor and Roscoe, have had a busy week. It started over the weekend as students from both schools participated in  bike-a-thon at Livingston Manor to benefit Ride 2 Survive.

On Monday morning, Roscoe students in 3rd and 4th grade that were participating in the Trout in the Classroom program, traveled down to the Junction Pool to release the trout to the river and had a fun-filled day of activities planned.

After school, students and members of the community gathered at Roscoe Central School to participate in a community litter pluck. Students, faculty, staff, members of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Department and the community gathered to clean up garbage in high-traffic areas of town including the Rt 17 East on-ramp and Cottage St.

On Wednesday morning, students, faculty and staff from Roscoe and Livingston Manor wore blue to celebrate their heroes in blue. Livingston Manor invited Sheriffs, State Police and active/retired LEO’s to stop by the cafeteria for coffee and muffins in the morning.

Also on Wednesday, Livingston Manor and Roscoe Student-Athletes traveled to Binghamton for Baseball in Education Day, where they were able to catch a Binghamton Rumble Ponies game.

Senior Anthony Zamenick got to hang out in the dugout as a bat boy for the game.
