Care Center cuts ribbon at Harvest Fest

LIBERTY— Residents, family members and community stakeholders gathered at the Care Center at Sunset Lake on Sunday for their first annual Harvest Festival. A ceremonial ribbon cutting was held to welcome Infinite Care Management.

Back in September, the Sunset Lake Local Development Corporation (LDC), Sullivan County and Infinite Care Management formally signed an agreement for Infinite Care to operate the Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty for the next 20 years.

“We’re very excited to welcome you into our neighborhood, into our family and into our community,” said Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce President Jaime Lynn Schmeiser.

Care Center Administrator Megan Holton said they’ve been working with Infinite Care and the county to bring about more community-oriented events.

“We want to make it feel like home for those who come to live here,” Holton said.

Lou Setren, president of the Care Center at Sunset Lake Family Council said, “We have been waiting for a long time to welcome folks from Infinite Care to this facility ... We are very pleased with the positive changes that you have already made at this facility.”
