Carol Lee Germer, age 74, a patient for the past few years at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown, NY began on her heavenly journey September 12, 2022. Carol had suffered numerous serious health complications in recent years.

Carol was born in western Sullivan County at Callicoon Hospital. She was raised in that area, graduated in 1968 from Delaware Valley High School and most recently lived in Narrowsburg, after medical attention for some time at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility in Liberty.

George Germer and wife Elsie Algeier Germer were Carol’s parents and she was an only child. With her Mom’s diminished health not long after Carol’s birth, she was raised mostly by both sets of grandparents.

For people who knew Carol there may be remembrances that she enjoyed playing pinochle, bingo and especially the Cochecton Preservation Society raffles, loved Polish polkas and U.S. country music, besides corresponding with several folks, and finally savoring delights sent by her family and friends.

In accordance with expressed wishes, Carol has been cremated and laid to perpetual rest at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Elmhurst, NY in the Germer Family Plot.
