Carrie Margaret Cypert Hallenbeck, of South Fallsburg, NY, passed away in the early morning hours on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 91.

She was the daughter of the late Josephine E. Ray and Frank M. Cypert, born on February 10, 1933 in Fallsburg, New York.

Carrie worked for the New York Telephone Company in Hurleyville as a switchboard operator, Channel Master in Ellenville assembling antennas and also in the mailroom, and for the Fallsburg Central School District as a Food Service Worker for 30 years until she retired in 2007. She loved spending time sitting at the kitchen table surrounded by her family & friends during the holidays, enjoying a delicious home cooked meal, puzzling, crafting or the laughter of a really good chat. She was a loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be forever in our hearts and dearly missed.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Jr. (Missy); her daughters Bonnie (Albert) and Gloria (Charles); her grandchildren, Carolyn (Nicholas), Joanna (Christian), Sarah, and Rebecca (Jamie); her great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Benjamin and Richard; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband Thomas Sr., brother Leo and sisters Cecelia, Grace, Emma Jean, Dorothy and Anna.

As per Carrie’s request, she will be cremated, and no funeral or memorial services will be held. Burial will be held for both Thomas Sr. and Carrie at the Fallsburg Cemetery, Fallsburg, NY at a later date.
