Catherine L. “Cathy” Kinne of White Sulphur Springs, NY, a retired typist for the Liberty Central School District and a lifelong area resident died Monday, January 8, 2024 at the Garnet Health Hospital in Middletown, NY. She was 65.
The daughter of the late Henry, Jr. and Betty Boyles Starkweather, she was born February 22, 1958 in Liberty, NY.
Cathy was a graduate of Jeff-Youngsville Central School, she was a Tennis Sport enthusiast, (her favorite player was Novak Djokovic). Her favorite sayings were Christopher - always my favorite son, Jess - always my girl, Carter - always my favorite boy, Allie - always my bird, Theresa - Stake out partner, John - he’s my lobster. Fans of comedy show “Friends” know the meaning!
Survivors include her devoted husband, John S. Kinne, at home; her son, Christopher Kinne of Livingston Manor, NY, her daughter, Jessica Kinne and her husband Tim Doeinck of Callicoon, NY; four sisters, Joyce Bifolck of CT, Deborah Trinks of MA, Ellen Nietzel and her husband Earle of Rock Hill, NY and Christine Starkweather of PA; six grandchildren, Carter and Allie Doeinck, Bryson, Logan, Collin and Kara Kinne; and her Goddaughter, Theresa Nietzel. She was predeceased by three siblings, Evelyn Starkweather, Roger Starkweather and Roxanne Starkweather.
Graveside services and burial will be Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11 AM in the Van Keuren Cemetery, Route 55, Bethel, NY. The Rev. Robin Sostak will officiate.
