SULLIVAN COUNTY — Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Sullivan County announces Patricia Avery, B.S. as its new Caregiver Resource Center Program Coordinator. Patricia brings with her many years of experience working with elders and families in both long-term care and community-based settings. Patricia will assume the role previously held by Bonnie Lewis, RN upon her retirement.

Caregiver Support Groups will continue each Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm beginning January 5, 2022. The free meetings remain virtual via Zoom or by phone. These support groups are designed to provide a forum, for anyone caring for a dependent adult, to meet others in similar situations and receive information, education, and support to assist them in their caregiving role.

Registration is required to participate in all support group meetings. To register, contact Patricia Avery at 845-292-6180, ext. 122, or register online at http://sullivancce.org/events. Meetings can be joined by computer or phone.

This co-partnered program between Cornell Cooperative Extension and Office for the Aging of Sullivan County is supported by a grant from the NYS Office for the Aging.

CCE prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of the communities we serve. CCE offers technical assistance by appointment, email or phone, and many programs and meetings have transitioned to online or outdoor spaces. CCE phone and email lines of communication are OPEN, and offerings can be found online at www.sullivancce.org.
