Celebrate National Quilt Month at Liberty Public Library with a Quilt Show and a Quilting Workshop

Posted

Liberty – Liberty Public Library is proud to announce a special celebration of National Quilt Month with a stunning quilt exhibit on display throughout the month of March. The exhibit will be open to the public beginning Thursday, February 20th, and will run until mid-April, showcasing the creative works of talented local quilters from the Calico Geese Quilters Guild. The library invites everyone to come and view the beautiful, intricate quilts created by members of our community during our regular hours of operation.

In addition to the exhibit, the library is excited to offer a hands-on workshop for those interested in learning the craft of hand quilting. In this small group workshop, “Hand Quilting for Beginners”, members of the Calico Geese Quilters Guild will guide participants through the process of hand quilting a small piece. Using provided muslin, thread, and needle, attendees will learn various quilting stitches, follow a provided pattern, and create their own unique finished piece to take home.   This workshop might just be the beginning of your quilting journey!
