Chipotle Lime Dip

What truly could be better than food you don’t actually have to cook? I told you I was going to give you a great Super Bowl day snack for game day and here it is!

My friend, Chef JP, was kind enough to give me all the dips and sauce recipes he uses at Conover Club in the summer months, and this Chipotle Lime dip is my fiancee and my favorite!!

It’s super tangy from the sour cream and a little spicy from chili. It pairs perfectly with salty chips but at times I like to pretend I’m being healthy and add a side of chopped carrots or shishito peppers from the air fryer.

You will need:

1 1/4 cups sour cream

2/3 cup mayo

3 1/2 teaspoons chipotle powder (I couldn’t find this so I added about two teaspoonsful of cayenne powder)

2 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2/3 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup lime juice

1 3/4 teaspoon Tajin Seasoning (or any chili lime flavor blend)

Mix together and serve! I like to have it chilled at least 2-3 hours before serving, because the longer it sets the better those flavors will come together.

Next is his French Onion Dip.

Conover Club’s french onion dip is one of my favorites, but does require some cooking and chopping. I recommend having a food processor on hand to chop the onions. This will also make a large amount of dip, so it’s best to make during a large gathering or you can save throughout the week!

French Onion Dip:

6 onions diced

2 1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

12 oz cream cheese

3/4 cup mayo

1 1/2 cups sour cream

Caramelize the onions and allow to cool completely, then mix with all other ingredients. This is hands down the best french onion dip that I have ever come across. It is served with sturdy waffle chips so make sure to buy some type of kettle cooked chip that is thick and will hold up to this rich and creamy dip. This is a recipe you’ll want to cut out and save, I promise.
