Main Street in Narrowsburg saw a bevy of activity as the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) hosted Riverfest, which saw its 34th anniversary this year.

The event celebrated art, music and ecology against the backdrop of the scenic hamlet of Narrowsburg. Attendees were treated to live music, a poster auction,  Kid’s Crafting Corner, the cherished River Dogs on Parade and more! Along Main Street were pop-up stands by a number of distinctive artisan exhibitors, accompanied by informational booths and food tents.

At the Makers Market, over 40 local and regional artisans sold jewelry, metalwork, carpentry, pottery, home décor, textiles and fine arts including painting, sculpture, photography and artist books.

Additionally, attendees of the Riverfest got to know local environmental and volunteer organizations.

One of the main attractions that started early on at the festival was the much-anticipated River Dogs on Parade event. Proud pet owners were able to showcase their beloved furry companions before a panel of humorous judges and excited audiences. Costumes for the event were encouraged for both owners and their pets.

Kids were also able to delve into their creative side at the River Kids Tent.

This event featured eco-arts and crafts. Kids were also encouraged to create and bring their very own Riverfest posters to remember the occasion.

In tradition with previous years, Chi Hive was also present to offer a special pop-up space for kids’ demos and fitness activities at their aerial pavilion throughout the event.

One of the main highlights on the main stage was the Poster Auction Benefit event. Original art posters were created by local artists to raise money for DVAA programming.

Jeff Bank was the official sponsor of the 2024 Riverfest event. Additionally, WJFF Radio Catskill served as the media sponsor for the event.

Support also came from New York State Council of the Arts, members of the DVAA, and their business supporters and other individuals.

Additional sponsors include The Nancy Stevenson Memorial Fund, Delaware Valley Farm and Garden, Narrowsburg Feed and Grain, First Student, Beach Lake Bakery, Dog Mountain Lodge, Narrowsburg Veterinary and PE Central.
