HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that in early September, the board of directors approved the following grants for the first quarter of the 2022/23 fiscal year:
• $1,500 to Children’s Service Center of Wyoming Valley to help them purchase new chairs and improve their Honesdale office for their clients.
• $2,500 to Growing Older Together to supplement their donations for general operating expenses and expansion.
• $2,000 to Wayne Memorial Hospital to help purchase compression garments for Lymphedema patients.
• $5,000 to The Institute to conduct comprehensive surveys of Wayne County in order to produce standardized metrics to assess the county’s needs.
• $500 to Project Linus to purchase materials to make blankets for children and families in need.
• $3,000 to the Forest City Area Historical Society for the purchase of aluminum trail signage to aid in accessibility.
• $2,000 to Wayne Highlands Interact Club to help fund a kayak trip down the Lackawaxen.
