Corinne Prezioso passed away peacefully on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, NY. She was 78. Born in Callicoon, NY, Corinne was the daughter of the late Bertram and Frances (Bischoff) Medlar. She graduated from Delaware Valley High School in 1961.

The world has lost a remarkable woman and our hearts are broken. Corinne lived her life with grace and acceptance, meeting people where they were at; it was truly a blessing and privilege that she was our Mom. Her presence will be missed, but her love and selflessness will endure in the lives she touched.

Mom was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother who always put her family and friends before herself. Her selfless commitment to family is reflected in her childrens’ families.

Working as a bookkeeper, Mom spent the majority of her career working for Channel Master, then Schrade Cutlery in Ellenville, NY. She was always appreciative of the friendships she made during these jobs.

Mom had a love for the peacefulness of the outdoors and could always be found tending her flower gardens or her tomatoes. She truly had a green thumb, a nurturing hand, and an eye for beauty. During Mom’s free time, she also enjoyed coloring, Sudoku puzzles and could always be found rooting for her beloved Yankees and her favorite player Derek Jeter.

While living at the Omni in Guilderland, Mom was always delighted in the time she spent with her friends in the community room. They often played games with the Girl Scouts, attended parties and listened to Christmas carols sung by families from St. Madeleine Sophie Church, where she was a parishioner. Mom also participated in Bible Study and Tuesday Morning Prayer and Communion.

Corinne is survived by her loving and devoted children, Carl and Linda Prezioso of Montgomery, NY, Chris Prezioso of Port Jervis, NY, and Frances and Matthew Mitchell of Guilderland, NY; her grandchildren Jessica, Connor, Lucas, Riley, Samantha, and Hanna; her siblings Shirley Goodenough of Honesdale, PA, George and Jan Medlar of Binghamton, NY, and Karen and Michael Brother of Bridgewater, MA; her sister-in-law Rosann Medlar of Stockbridge, GA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom was especially appreciative of the closeness she maintained with her cousin, Carol Oestrich of Binghamton, NY.

Along with her parents, Corinne was predeceased by her brothers James Medlar and Clyde Medlar, and brother-in-law Dave Goodenough.

Corinne’s family would like to thank the staff of ICU E-2 at Ellis Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion they provided during Mom’s stay.

Funeral services for Corinne will be private. Interment will be in the Hortonville Cemetery, Hortonville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Corinne’s name to Family Promise. Checks can be made out to St. Madeleine Sophie Church with “Family Promise” in the memo section and mailed to St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Road, Schenectady, NY 12303.
