David Paul Hess, 68, passed away in Albany NY on May 27, 2025. Born in Liberty Loomis Hospital in 1957, he was one of 5 children, son of Warren Hess and Alice (Meschner) Hess.

Dave graduated from Jeffersonville Youngsville Central School in 1975 and following graduation served honorably in the United States Navy for 6 years. Following his service he relocated to Albany and worked for a commercial moving company retiring in 2019.

Dave spent his time off involved in local military events, an avid reader and listening to Jazz.

Dave is predeceased by his parents and older brother Randy. He is survived by his older brother Tom of Jacksonville, FL, sisters Doreen (Ed) Sangaline of Kingston, NY and Diane Hess of Jacksonville. He is also survived by niece Lauren (Anson) Asbury of Decatur, GA, nephew Evan Sangaline of Nashville, TN and numerous friends.

Graveside services will be in the Fall. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the United Methodist Church
