SULLIVAN COUNTY –– In a year like no other, athletes across this county faced even greater adversity than what’s simply presented by an opponent on any given day. They had limited practices, had to play in masks, and in the case of some sports, had to compete without loved ones cheering them on.

Instead of recognizing athletes by season, we chose to instead honor these special young people at the end of all three shortened high school sports seasons.

After accepting nominations from coaches, our sports staff is pleased to announce our 2021 Sullivan County Democrat All-Stars.

Athletes are listed alphabetically by school, with each sport they are named an all-star in parenthesis.

Note: Indoor and outdoor track and field are one category this year as many nominations came in without specifying which a nominated athlete did. They will return to separate categories next year.
