Detective Mark Hess retires

LIBERTY - On Wednesday, December 1, Detective Mark Hess took his final walk out of the Liberty Police Department.
He was surrounded by friends and family and saluted by the entire department as he left.
Detective Hess retired after 20 years of honorable service to the Village of Liberty Police Department.
Detective Hess served many roles during his career including Patrolman, School Resource Officer, D.A.R.E. instructor, certified police instructor, Patrol Sergeant and finished his career as Detective.
He was responsible for working on some of the most serious cases the department has handled in the last seven years.
“His knowledge and experience will be missed by all,” Said Liberty Police Chief Steven D’Agata. “Congratulations Mark and best of luck in retirement!”
