To the editor:

Unfortunately Bill Lucas's cartoon is more of a rant than drawing (10-23-20).

Disgruntled former employee's quotes, which are ‘un-becoming an officer', are dismissed by Politico's Oct. 18, 2019 article that says Trump got it right on Syria.

Stating General Mattis (Maddis) saying ‘First President that trys (tries) to divide us' on June 03, 2020. Mattis resigned over Syrian policy in Dec. 2018. On April 07, 2017 we bombed Assad and April 14, 2018, along with France and Britain, bombed Assad again before the bombing destruction by Russia September 2018.

Back on June 25, 2018 Rep. Maxine Waters called on her supporters to publicly confront and harass the President and his cabinet wherever you find them; restaurants, movies, etc. A Representative of the people telling them to harass the highest part of gov't! This is a division of the country Bill doesn't see fit to mention.

Then there's, from before Trump was sworn in, the constant attacks from the Democrats, (namely Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler) to get him out of office. These last 4+ years have the Democrats trying everything they can think of including making a False Dossier to get him out.

Spending massive amounts of taxpayer money and having NO results except to divide our country and to divert from doing the business of the people for investigations, one attack after another, mostly seen as made up and to divide, Bill is silent on all of this!

Bill's been quiet on ‘dividing' done during the Obama Administration and Democrats as pointed out by the Pew Research Center, which didn't mention ‘Fast and Furious'!

Bill's last blip about the COVID-19 virus, let's remember President Trump did shut down travel from China. Biden didn't agree with this January idea but changed his mind April 3rd.
