Donald Earl Coger passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on February 23, 2025.  He was 94 years old.

Don was born on October 8, 1930 in Binghamton, NY to Earl and Olive Coger.  Donald graduated from Livingston Manor High School in 1949.  He then served in the US Army in Korea.  He was employed at Sherwood Mills, Schwartz’s Meat Market and The Town of Rockland Highway Department until retirement in 2008.  Don was also a member of the American Legion Post 566 of Livingston Manor.

Don was an outdoorsman.  Enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and boating.  He also lit up the bowling alley at Liberty Lanes in his younger years.  Later in life, he enjoyed cruising and traveled the world with the love of his life, Judy.

“Uncle Don” was known for his infectious smile and sense of humor.  He was an amazing uncle to some of us and a good friend to most who knew him.  He was a man of strength and integrity.  He was always there for all in their time of need.

Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Judith Coger of 64 years. His sister Joyce Wall in Walton, NY.   Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  His parents and sisters Helen and Margaret predeceased him.

Friends may gather at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758 on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 12-2pm.  Funeral and military service to follow at 2pm, with Sharon Branning officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Livingston Manor Ambulance Corp., PO Box 1, Livingston Manor, NY 12758.  The family of Donald would like to thank the community for their support at this difficult time.
