Donald L. Eggleton of Roscoe, NY, a longtime area resident, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Garnet Health Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 90.

The son of the late Clarence R. and Jane M. Pittaway Eggleton, he was born July 28, 1930 in Clarks Summit, PA.

Donald proudly served on the USS New Jersey for four years during the Korean War in the US Navy; he was a longtime member and Past President of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Company; former member and Past President of the Roscoe Kiwanis Club; and a Charter Member of the Methol Hunting Club; a member of the United Church of Roscoe; a former Commander and member of the Harold Wood VFW Post # 5911; and former member of the Twin Village Monday Night Golf League.  He had worked as a meat cutter for A&P Grocery and in maintenance at Sullivan County BOCES for 11 years before retiring.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Louise Button Eggleton; two sisters, Jane Klemm (Frank) and Elaine Hubbert; four sons, Leslie Eggleton (Donna), Robert Eggleton (Dawn), James Eggleton (Sue), and Philip Eggleton (Shelley); seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY. The Roscoe-Rockland Fire Dept. will conduct firematic services at 7 PM in the funeral home.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 3 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.  The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.

Burial with military honors will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
