ELDRED – The Yellowjackets stung the Wildcats in the second half last night, outscoring Livingston Manor by 20 on their way to a 58-38 victory. Freshman Trai Kaufmann led all scorers with 31 points and six rebounds for Eldred. Livingston Manor was led by Dan Tolbert with 14 points and seven blocks.
There are plenty of league matches remaining for these two teams, and the Class D action is sure to heat up in the second half.

Fallsburg/Tri-Valley traveled to Chester on Wednesday night for a match against the Hambletonians. Chester was a force to be reckoned with, winning each match and shutting out Fallsburg 78.0 to 0.0.
Liberty and Ellenville squared off in a wrestling match on Wednesday as well. The teams exchanged a few forfeits, but Zoe Kip won her match against Ellenville’s Ellie Anderson by Fall at the one minute mark.
Roscoe squared off against Seward on Tuesday night, and the Spartans handily took down their opponents, 51-16. The game served as Roscoe’s warm-up before heading to Eldred Thursday night for their first league matchup. They will host Eldred on Monday night for their second meeting.
Chapel Field and Sullivan West competed in a non-league contest on Wednesday night, and the Lions took down the Bulldogs 47-36. Noah Swart and Jonah McDuffie led the way for the Lions, netting 16 apiece, while Andrew Hubert and Evan Ebert scored 11 and 10 respectively for Sullivan West. The Bulldogs will host Tri-Valley tonight for a league contest against the Bears, who are coming off a big win against the Blue Devils on Wednesday.
