Eleanor Nober, age 75, of Lake Huntington, NY passed on Monday, October 5, 2020 at home surrounded by family.

The daughter of the late Herbert and Mabel Meckle, she was born on January 1, 1945 in Narrowsburg, NY. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Eleanor was a retired real estate agent for Freda Real Estate, Callicoon, NY. She was married for 58 years to Allan Nober, who survives her. A family statement reads: “Eleanor was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her and Allan used to love to sit on the swing for hours. She also enjoyed the ocean, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will greatly be missed.”

She is survived by her husband, Allan, her son Allan Nober Jr. and his wife Kelly of Lake Huntington, NY, her daughter: Kimberly Nober and her companion John Sattler of Bethel, NY, her brother: William Meckle and his wife Diane of Vermont, her grandchildren: Krista Nober, Harley Siegel, Hailey Siegel and her honorary granddaughter April White. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Not forgetting her dog: Jessie.

Eleanor's predeceased by her sister: Florence Vosburgh and her brother: Herb Meckle.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
