Elmer Hansjosten of Callicoon, a retired custodian at Delaware Valley Central School Callicoon, died on Saturday, October 5 in Callicoon. He was 87 years old.

Elmer was born August 28, 1932 in New York City to the late Karl and Johanna Hansjosten.

Elmer is survived by his son Vincent, by his sister Karen Hansjosten, by his stepchildren Barbara, Billy, Gary and Michael Mount. In addition to his parents Elmer was predeceased by his daughter Patricia Hansjosten.

Elmer's family would like to express their thanks for all the support given them by the Callicoon Fire Department, Pleasant Valley Rod and Gun Club Callicoon, and Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
